Accounting/Finance Manager - Small city centre office

 

KR Recruitment Luxembourg are delighted to be exclusively recruiting an Accouting Manager for a global real estate group building their Luxembourg office.

Main responsibilities:

  • Manage the statutory reporting process. Including the preparation of > 50 sets of annual  financial statements as filed with the commercial registry, board presentations and eCDF filings
  • Assuring that all the transactions approved by Board of Managers in Luxembourg are correctly recorded in the accounting ledgers
  • Facilitate the external audit of several of the Luxembourg companies
  • Prepare monthly/quarterly and annual VAT returns, as required
  • Facilitate the 3rd party service provider’s assessment and management of net wealth taxes
  • Prepare interim balance sheets and income statements as needed for the declarations of dividends
  • Liaise with local offices to meet local tax reporting and statutory accounting requirements and ensure everything is filed as per legislative requirements
  • Supporting United States based internal legal and accounting teams, external accountants, and tax advisors
  • Perform various reconciliations and controls, including assisting with reconciling US GAAP and Lux GAAP differences
  • Perform other duties as requested
Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field required.  MBA preferred when appropriate.
  • 4 to 7 years of experience, preferably in the real estate sector
  • Successfull track-record managing the Luxembourg statutory financial reporting for large structures
  • Professional certification, CPA/ACCA/ACA is strongly desired
  • Absolute fluency in English
  • Knowledge of accounting theory, including US and Luxembourg GAAP
  • Strong communication skills – presentation, written and verbal – and analytical skills
  • Strong team player with a focus towards customer service
  • Ability to self-motivate and work in a dynamic environment
  • Self-starter, hands-on approach, limited need for supervision
  • Results, deadline and quality driven
  • Commitment to high quality outputs
